Experience the magical world of animals with Hobey Ford's ANIMALIA! Using his original "foamies" puppets, Hobey brings to life realistic animal movements through intricate mechanical designs. The show explores fascinating topics like the metamorphosis of a butterfly, the life cycle of a tadpole, various ecosystems, and endangered animals. This interactive performance takes the whole theater as the stage, creating an unforgettable experience for all ages.

About Hobey Ford

Hobey Ford is internationally renowned in the puppetry field and an award-winning performer, celebrated for his excellence in puppetry and storytelling. He designs and constructs all of his Golden Rod Puppets as well as the beautiful sets that surround them. A master of his craft, Hobey's performances incorporate a variety of puppetry styles, including adapted Bunraku, rod marionettes, Foamies, and shadow puppetry.

Hobey has received the highest honors for his brilliant contributions to puppetry, including two UNIMA Citations of Excellence, three Jim Henson Foundation grants, and the prestigious Hermitage Fellowship. He tours family and student performances worldwide and leads workshops in collaboration with the Kennedy Center's Partnership in Education program. His work continues to inspire and enrich audiences across the globe.
