Join us for a unique and aromatic art experience where coffee becomes your canvas medium!
Discover the art hidden in your morning routine! In this hands-on workshop, participants will use coffee grounds as a natural medium to create striking monochromatic artwork. This innovative class explores the texture, depth, and shading possibilities of coffee grounds while introducing fundamental art concepts in a fresh, accessible way.
Led by Ana Belle Afable Granados, our August artist of the month, this class invites you to experiment with sustainable art practices in a fun and relaxing environment. Ana Belle’s work is known for blending natural elements with fine art techniques, and she will guide participants step-by-step through this distinctive process. Whether you're a seasoned artist or simply curious to try something new, you'll leave with a greater appreciation for unconventional materials, and a finished piece to take home.
About the Presenter
ANA BELLE AFABLE GRANADOS comes from a family of artists. A dietitian by profession, she expresses her artistic sensitivity both in her culinary endeavors and through her work on canvas. Ana Belle is a mixed media artist who works with oil, acrylic, watercolor, wine, and coffee. She often incorporates handmade paper, dried wood, and flowers into her pieces to create added texture and depth. A veteran of several art exhibitions in her native Philippines, she is also a member of Pintor Kulapol, a respected local artist group in her hometown. Her talents extended internationally when she joined the team that restored the hand-painted glass windows of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Jenkins, Kentucky, USA.
"Art runs in my blood," Ana Belle says. "My siblings, mother, aunts, uncles, cousins, even my grandmother are all visual artists. Their work has been admired and recognized in both national and international art competitions." Inspired by her family and a deep love for nature, Ana Belle’s passion lies in capturing the breathtaking beauty of the natural world. She enjoys infusing color and texture into her work to elevate its aesthetic value. Even when working with monochromatic media like wine and coffee, she finds that they add a unique layer of warmth and romanticism to her art.
