Spring 2027 Teen Library Ambassador Application Open
The Teen Library Ambassador program (TLA) is a group of up to 24 students in grades 6 - 12. They will work to provide feedback on teen library services and complete volunteer tasks.

The Teen Library Ambassador program (TLA) is a group of up to 24 students in grades 6 - 12. They will work to provide feedback on teen library services and complete volunteer tasks.
New and returning members will be selected based on their application which should demonstrate a desire to promote reading, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and a commitment to attend meetings on a regular basis. Teen Library Ambassadors will not be selected on a first-come first-served basis. Rather, library staff will assess each application and make a decision based on each teen's responses.
- Teen Library Ambassadors should hold a Lucius E. & Elsie C. Burch Jr. Library card.
- Ambassadors should be able to attend monthly meetings from January to April 2026. Fall semester meetings will be held from 5:30 - 7 p.m. on the following dates:
- Thursday, January 7
- Thursday, February 4
- Thursday, March 4
- Thursday, April 1
- Members who have two unexcused absences in a semester are no longer eligible for the Ambassador Program that school year.
The application for this spring's Teen Library Ambassador Program will open on Monday, November 16, and close at the end of the day on Monday, December 14, 2026. This will give the library time to assess applications, notify selected teens, and communicate information about the first Ambassador meeting. About this Library
The Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library serves the Town of Collierville as an information hub offering materials and programming for all ages, three 4-person study rooms, and a 40-person meeting room. It sits in a beautiful location in Halle Park near Collierville Town Hall.
