Code Camp: Python for Beginners
Ages 11–17
Dive into the world of coding with our beginner-friendly Python Code Camp! Over the course of five sessions, participants will build their programming skills step-by-step, learning to write code, solve problems, and think like a developer.

Sunday, June 22 | 2:00–3:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 28 | 10:30–11:30 a.m.
Sunday, June 29 | 2:00–3:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 5 | 10:30–11:30 a.m.
Sunday, July 6 | 2:00–3:00 p.m.
On the final day, students will put their new skills to the test in a series of coding challenges with small prizes on the line!
Registration is required and counts for all five dates—please make sure you can attend each session before signing up. Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop or tablet. A limited number of library laptops will be available to borrow during the program.Please call 901-457-2601 if you will need a laptop for the programs.
Whether you're completely new to coding or looking to sharpen your skills, this is a great opportunity to learn Python in a supportive, hands-on environment.
This camp is organized in partnership with Innovate Memphis.
About the presenter:
Code Camp will be led by Aditi Arunprakash, a rising senior who completed a coding internship at George Mason University. Arunprakash has organized two coding competitions for high school students and has taught coding at several middle schools in the Memphis area.

The Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library serves the Town of Collierville as an information hub offering materials and programming for all ages, three 4-person study rooms, and a 40-person meeting room. It sits in a beautiful location in Halle Park near Collierville Town Hall.
