Join us on for a practical introduction to the college admissions process designed to help prospective students understand their options and take the next steps with confidence.
Learn what to expect when submitting college applications, including Common App and direct university applications, transcripts, test scores, and other requirements that may vary from school to school. We'll also discuss college essays, including what admissions professionals look for, how to structure and compose your essay, and proofreading tips. Already submitted your applications? Discover what you can do next, from improving test scores and pursuing scholarships to connecting with admissions counselors and exploring campus opportunities.
The presentation will use the University of Memphis admissions process as a reference while providing tips and strategies that can be used when applying to colleges of all kinds. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion. We will meet in the Halle Room from 5:30 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28. Registration is required and will open on October 14, 2026. For teens in grades 9 - 12 and parents.

The Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library serves the Town of Collierville as an information hub offering materials and programming for all ages, three 4-person study rooms, and a 40-person meeting room. It sits in a beautiful location in Halle Park near Collierville Town Hall.
