Discover the power of your voice in this lively and interactive vocal workshop! Participants will be guided through foundational singing techniques including warm-ups, breathing exercises, vocal control, pitch, and performance skills. Children will explore music as a form of expression and communication, learning to sing in tune and with feeling. The session includes singing along to familiar songs in a collaborative and encouraging setting. These sessions are designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and a love for music. Ideal for children ages 6+

About the Presenter
Ty Matthews is an instructor at Music Box Collierville, our June Local Business of the Month. He serves as both a Voice and Piano educator, as well as the Head of Academics. Ty began playing piano at his church at the age of 10 and soon after became one of its lead vocalists. Ty holds a bachelor's degree in music performance (Oboe) from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master's degree in music performance from Oklahoma City University. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Music at the University of Memphis. Throughout his career, Ty has performed as a lead vocalist in numerous bands, touring extensively across the United States. He has also appeared at major music festivals, including South by Southwest and the Warped Tour. In addition to performing, Ty has a passion for education—he has led a variety of musical theater programs as both an accompanist and vocal coach, and he enjoys helping vocalists prepare for auditions.
