Launch into STEM with STEMsters Presents: Marshmallow Catapult! In this exciting, hands-on program, students will discover the science and engineering behind catapults while exploring how simple machines have been used throughout history. Through an engaging presentation, participants will learn the basics of catapult design, answer fun brain-teasing questions, and uncover the STEM concepts that make these machines work.
Then it's time to put learning into action! Children will build and test their own marshmallow catapults, experimenting with design and launch techniques while developing problem-solving and engineering skills.
Join us on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m.–Noon in the Storytelling Room. Designed for students entering grades K–5. Registration is required. Children under the age of 10 must have a guardian present for the duration of the program.
About the Presenters:
STEMsters is a student-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and educating children through engaging STEM activities. This program will be led by rising high school seniors who are passionate about making science, technology, engineering, and math fun and accessible.

About this Library
The Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library serves the Town of Collierville as an information hub offering materials and programming for all ages, three 4-person study rooms, and a 40-person meeting room. It sits in a beautiful location in Halle Park near Collierville Town Hall.
