About the Presenter
Sensei Wendy Cohen is the founder of MidSouth Okinawan Karate and our July Local Business of the Month. She is a 5th Degree Blackbelt and Certified Senior Instructor in the Seibukai System of Goju Ryu Karate, as well as a 3rd Degree Blackbelt in the Ryukonkai Weapons System of Ryukonkai Karate. Her passion lies in helping students step outside their comfort zones and discover the power within. While karate may feel unfamiliar at first, Sensei Wendy creates a welcoming environment where students can learn at their own pace. She specializes in teaching practical self-defense, showing students how to find their voice and target vulnerable areas effectively for real-world protection.
