On D-Day, June 6, 1944, 156,000 soldiers from eight Allied Nations stormed ashore on the Normandy Coast of France. Most of us know the names Eisenhower, Montgomery, and Bradley. Hundreds more unsung heroes contributed to the Allied victory: Learn about the former commercial pilot who flew the lead aircraft in the airborne assault, the British General told to make an impossible plan possible, and the two Canadian brothers who led the assault on Juno Beach.

The Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library serves the Town of Collierville as an information hub offering materials and programming for all ages, three 4-person study rooms, and a 40-person meeting room. It sits in a beautiful location in Halle Park near Collierville Town Hall.
