Halle Meeting RoomStep back in time to explore how the Committee of Five drafted the Declaration of Independence and shaped a new nation. Join us for conversation about founding ideals over a "Feast of Reason".
Join us for an engaging, all ages program that brings to life the Committee of Five—Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston—the group tasked with drafting the Declaration of Independence. Together, we’ll uncover who these men were, what they debated, and how their discussions helped define the country’s founding ideals. We’ll enjoy conversation over a "Feast of Reason", modeled after the famous gatherings at Monticello, where Jefferson welcomed guests for lively conversations about science, politics, philosophy.
