Experience the vibrant flavors of India at Spices of India on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 3 - 4 p.m. in the Storytelling Room. Presented by Jay Kumar, this program will explore the diverse and aromatic spices that make Indian cuisine so unique. Learn about regional variations, their uses, and how they enhance both taste and color in cooking.
About the presenter:
Jay Kumar has been teaching Indian dance in the Memphis metro area for more than 20 years. Passionate about sharing culture through dance, she is actively involved in the local community and regularly leads workshops and presentations at libraries, day cares, senior living facilities, and other community spaces. Through her engaging programs, Jay introduces audiences of all ages to the beauty and traditions of Indian dance.

The Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library serves the Town of Collierville as an information hub offering materials and programming for all ages, three 4-person study rooms, and a 40-person meeting room. It sits in a beautiful location in Halle Park near Collierville Town Hall.
